The current season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) has been great for Rajasthan Royals (RR) star spinner Yuzvendra Chahal. Chahal is currently the joint highest wicket-taker of the season. This season Chahal has gained a lot of buzz about his bowling as well as his fun with Jos Buttler. He has constantly talked about opening with Buttler.
Now a new video of him is being seen on the social media account of Rajasthan. In this video Chahal said, Jos brother has scored 800 runs, but if I was an opener, I would have scored 1600 runs by now. I also throw off-spin. I have a lot of speed. You have to throw the first ball at a speed of 115 kilometres per hour. Then people would think that this is a small child and what will he bowl. After this, the batsman has to be dismissed by throwing the next quickest one. I can bowl comfortably at a speed of 165.
In 16 matches played this season, Chahal has taken 26 wickets and is currently the joint highest wicket-taker with Wanindu Hasranga. Tonight, Chahal will play against Gujarat Titans in the final match of the season. If he gets even one wicket in this match, he will get his name written on the purple cap.
Rajasthan will need Chahal a lot to win the final. Chahal could not impress in the second qualifier against Royal Challengers Bangalore. He had spent 45 runs in his four overs, but he did not get a single wicket. In the final match, Chahal would like to leave no stone unturned and will try his best to win the title to Rajasthan.
