The New Zealand team won the toss and again decided to bowl first in this crucial match as the condition was bowling-friendly. However Indian team management is getting criticism for dropping Sanju Samson.

Sanju Samson played the first ODI of this series and performed decently in that match as well where he scored 36 runs in 38 balls when the team was in trouble but he was dropped in the next match.
Management felt that they are missing an extra bowling option as their 6th bowler and that’s why they dropped Sanju Samson and brought Deepak Hooda into the playing 11 who can give some crucial overs to the team, the team has dropped Sanju in the third match for the same reason as well.
