IPL 2022 is at its final stage. Last night, KL Rahul and Gautam Gambhir’s team Lucknow Super Giants faced RCB. This match was an eliminator match, which meant that whichever team lost, its card was cleared from the IPL. In this match, RCB beat LSG by 14 runs.
Batting first, RCB gave a target of 208 runs to Lucknow due to Rajat Patidar’s century (112Run off 54 balls). In reply to this Lucknow could score only 193 runs. For them, captain KL Rahul scored 79 runs in 58 balls.
Well, there are many reasons for this defeat. But Gautam Gambhir, the mentor of Lucknow Super Giants, feels that the main reason for the defeat is the captain. Talking to media after the match, Gautam told that when you enter the big match. So the role of the captain becomes very important. The captain has to maintain energy throughout the match.
KL Rahul could not do this. When our team was bowling, we dropped many catches in which the captain also dropped a catch. If the captain makes such mistakes, then he cannot give a lesson to the team.
Apart from this, when we come out to bat, the target of 208 runs is too big. But KL Rahul did not know in which zone he was. He wasted almost 10 overs to score only 79 runs which simply means that the rest of the team have to score 150 runs in 10 overs. It is not easy to do so. It was here that Lucknow lost the match.
