When the team was struggling as they lost both their openers early, he brilliantly phased his inning and scored a crucial knock of 49 runs in 59 balls with the help of 8 fours. He saved India from losing continuous wickets but after he got out India lost a few consecutive wickets.

Pant saved himself from getting injured

Adam Milne bowled a short ball and Shreyas Iyer punched this hard to log on from the backfoot which was near Rishabh Pant and he saved himself from getting hit by the bowler, Shreyas Iyer went on to score 2 more boundaries to Adam Milne which were on backfoot as well.
