Shikhar Dhawan Boasted After Defeating RR, Giving Credit To Himself For The Victory

Shikhar Dhawan-led Punjab Kings defeated Rajasthan Royals by 5 runs in a heart-stopping encounter in just their second match. In this match, Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson, Hatmyer, and young batsman Dhruv Juyal played good innings.

But, his innings could not be of any use to the team and he got his first defeat of the season. With this victory, Punjab captain Shikhar Dhawan has become proud. He has given a strange statement about his dashing batting and bowling. Let’s know what he said.

Shikhar Dhawan came in proud after the victory:

Shikhar Dhawan is handling the captaincy of the team in the new season for Punjab Kings. Shikhar has won both the matches played so far. However, looks like this victory is not going down well with Gabbar. With this victory, he climbed to the seventh heaven. He has become so shattered in pride that he is not understanding anyone in front of himself.

Dhawan said, “There were some nerve-wracking moments here, I was trying to keep myself calm and discussing plans with my bowlers. Happy with the score we scored. We scored 197 and my bowlers got early wickets and then Nathan came in and bowled brilliantly. It was a whole team effort.

We got off to a great start in these 2 matches, Prabhman Singh did well and I tried my best to increase my strike rate. We want to continue the momentum as we have a good batting line-up. We respect the bowlers of the opponents but want to keep the intent and aggression intact.

Shikhar Dhawan played a brilliant inning:

Left-handed batsman Shikhar Dhawan is one of the great batsmen. He has been scoring more than 400 runs consistently for the last seven seasons. He is found every season in the Orange Cap race. Meanwhile, he has maintained this excellent form in IPA Season 16 as well. He scored an unbeaten 40 against KKR in the first match and an unbeaten 86 against Rajasthan in the second match. His innings included 9 fours and 3 thumps.
