The Indian team will lock horns with the Srilankan team in the ODI series which will start on 10 January. It’s the first ODI series for both teams this year as they will focus on the ODI this because of the ODI World Cup.
However, while this series will go on, Indian fans will also have an eye on the World Test Championship(WTC) as the final will be played in the month of July. Indian team is looking good to qualify for the finals and they can face Australia in the finals.
Srilanka can spoil the party of India in WTC Final:
Srilanka is the only team which can spoil the party of Team India as they are now in the third position of the table.They Can go past the Indian team if there can be a possible scenario and if that goes in the way of Srilanka.
There are only 2 series left in this cycle of the World test championship in which India will take on Australia in the Border Gavaskar trophy while Srilanka will play a series against New Zealand. If they win the series against New Zealand and India loose against Australia then Sri Lanka can qualify for the finals.
India won the T20 series:
The T20 series has been concluded recently in which India won the series by a margin of 2-1. Indian team won the first match but Srilanka made a comeback in the second match, India clinched the series by winning the last match of the series.
