Former Indian team cricketer Wasim Jaffer has said a lot about the inclusion of senior player Rohit Sharma in the team for the next ICC tournament.

Wasim Jaffer said Rohit Sharma will not be a part of T20 World Cup
Regarding the next T20 World Cup, former cricketer Wasim Jaffer said that Rohit Sharma’s place will not be made in the next T20 World Cup. Wasim Jaffer also presented some facts to prove his point.
Wasim Jaffer while talking to former Pakistan cricketer Basit Ali said that- “Rohit Sharma will not be a part of the team in the next T20 World Cup. Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were rested for the T20I series against Sri Lanka and New Zealand. Now there is an important Test series against Australia, IPL and then ODI World Cup. The Indian team can qualify for the World Test Championship final. Looking at the future, it seems now the game belongs to young players.

Wasim Jaffer further said- “I do not think that Rohit Sharma will play the next T20 World Cup 2024. Virat Kohli may play, but Rohit Sharma definitely won’t play the next T20 World Cup. He is already 36 years old.”
Wasim said that the World Test Championship is very important
Wasim Jaffer said, “The year 2023 ODI World Cup is important for Team India. The biggest task of the selectors is to keep Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma fit and fresh, due to which Rohit Sharma should be kept away from T20 cricket.
Wasim Jaffer said, “In view of the Test series against Australia, it is necessary that Rohit Sharma be allowed to remain mentally fresh. He further said that at the moment both the batsmen will have a challenge to bat well in the series against Australia, as the Indian team will reach the final of the World Test Championship only after winning the Border Gavaskar Test series 3-0 from Australia.
