In the first T20 match against West Indies, India, batting first, put 190 runs on the scoreboard and set a target of 191 runs for the Caribbean team to win. For India, captain Rohit Sharma hit 7 fours and 2 sixes in 44 balls. Played a brilliant innings of 64 runs with help while Dinesh Karthik and R Ashwin put together some quick runs in the end.
During this, Karthik once again showed excellent finishing, scoring 41 runs off 18 balls while Ashwin also scored an unbeaten 13 which included a six off Holder. However, during the Indian innings, a moment was seen which was not expected by any fan and the fans were surprised to see that sight.
Actually, Obed McCoy had a chance to dismiss R Ashwin in the third ball of the 18th over but did not know what was going on in his mind that he did not do a simple runout. On this ball, Karthik hit the ball straight towards long off and called Ashwin for the second run, Ashwin also did not refuse Karthik and he kept running. At the same time, the fielder threw the ball directly into the hands of McCoy and McCoy also caught the ball easily.
