The second match of the India-Sri Lanka T20 series is being played at the MCA Stadium, Pune. India has taken a 1-0 lead by winning the first match of the series. Team India has decided to bowl after winning the toss. Rahul Tripathi has got a chance to debut in place of Sanju Samson. Arshdeep Singh has been included in the playing-11 in place of Harshal Patel. Stormy batting of Mendis-Nisanka in power play
While Sri Lanka got off to a great start, Mendis and Pathum Nissanka hit 55 runs in the power play. Chahal gave India the first breakthrough, while the second wicket was created by speed king Umran Malik. Where he bowled Bhanuka Rajapakse on the first ball of the 10th over. And on the third ball of the 12th over, Akshar Patel got Pathum Nissanka caught by Rahul Tripathi at deep mid-wicket boundary. Whereas Rahul Tripathi raised his hand where Akshar and Hardik thought that he was pointing for a six but Rahul completed the catch. And Pathum Nissanka got out after scoring 33 runs. Where he hit 4 fours in his innings.

After a stormy start by the Sri Lankan openers, India stopped the Sri Lankan team for 206/6 on the basis of excellent bowling by young fast bowlers Umran Malik and Yuzvendra Chahal. Team India has been given a target of 207 runs to win the series (IND vs SL). India gifted Sri Lanka 20 runs on 7 no balls in this match.
