39-year-old Ronaldo created a YouTube account and within a week the number of his followers crossed the figure of 50 million. He broke many records during this time.
Ronaldo has more than 639 million followers on Instagram, which is the largest part of his 100 crore followers on the social media platform. The former Manchester United and Real Madrid player has 170.5 million followers on Facebook and 113 million followers on Instagram. He also has some followers on Chinese platforms Weibo and Kuaishou.
The Portuguese football icon shared a note on social media and informed that he has crossed the one billion mark on the Internet. He wrote, ‘We have made history. 1 billion followers! It is not just a number, but more than that. It is part of our shared passion and love. From the streets of Madeira to the biggest stage in the world, I have always played for my family and you. Now we stand together at the one billion mark. You have been with me every step of the way, through all the ups and downs. The 39-year-old footballer celebrated achieving the milestone as if he had scored the first goal of his career. This was his 131st goal in Portugal’s jersey. Ronaldo looked emotional while celebrating the goal. Half of his 900 goals have come for Real Madrid.
