“Will not play forever..”, after player of the match award, Virat Kohli gave hints of retirement

Indian cricket team has got a gem in the form of Virat Kohli as he is one the greatest batter ever to play for India. He made his debut for India in the year 2008 and he has impressed everybody since then. He is performing well for India for the last 14 years.

He impressed everybody with his batting in the first ODI against Sri Lanka as well. He scored the 74th hundred of his career as he made 112 runs in just 87 balls. He smashed 12 fours and 1 six during his inning and was looking solid. It looks like he has regained his form now.

Virat Kohli gave a shocking statement:

After the match, Virat Kohli won the player of the match award and while talking to Murli Karthik he gave this shocking statement. He said “I don’t think anything was different. My preparation and intention are always the same. I felt I was hitting the ball well. It was close to the template I play with, I understood we needed an extra 25-30 runs. I tried to understand the conditions in the second half. We tried to get a good total.”

He further said that “ One thing I learned was frustration gets you nowhere. You don’t need to make things complicated. You go out there and play without fear, I can’t hold things down. You’ve got to play for the right reasons and play almost every game like it’s your last and just be happy about it. The game is about to move on.

In the end, he said something which shocked everybody and many are saying that he has given the indication of retirement. The fans are also upset and sad after his statement. He said “ I’m not going to play forever. I am in a happy place and enjoying my time.
