Watch Video: Arshdeep Singh was out intentionally, did something to get himself out

In IPL matches, we have seen batsmen getting out in more than one way. During the match played between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals, something similar was seen on the field when batsman Arshdeep Singh joined the list of the most awkward dismissals in the tournament.

Rishabh Pant completed the easiest of run-outs after a mix-up between Arshdeep Singh and Vaibhav Arora.

Delhi bowlers dominated the entire match but the real fun came on the last ball of the 20th over of Punjab Kings’ batting. Mustafizur Rahman bowled a wide yorker to hit the batsman, which Punjab Kings number 10 batsman Arshdeep Singh completely missed.

Arshdeep Singh tried to take a run after missing the ball but Vaibhav Arora, standing at the non-striker’s end, had no interest in taking the run. Arshdeep Singh could have easily reached the crease if he wanted but still no effort was made by him to go back as he was probably upset with Vaibhav Arora.

It was the last ball of Punjab’s innings, so Vaibhav Arora should have tried to take runs as well. Arora did not try and Arshdeep Singh thought it necessary to discuss the matter with Vaibhav Arora instead of returning to the crease. However, Rishabh Pant then reached the stumps very comfortably and got Arshdeep run out. On the other hand, if we talk about the match, then Delhi Capitals has managed to win this match by 9 wickets.
