Meanwhile, regarding the India vs Pakistan match, captain Babar Azam has given such a statement, which the Indian fans will not like much.
After defeating Nepal, Pakistan team captain Babar Azam talked about his batting during the post-match ceremony. Along with this, he also disclosed about the partnership with Iftikhar Ahmed.
Babar Azam said, “When I went to the match, I used a few balls to give myself time. The ball was not coming on the bat, the pitch was two-paced. Rizwan and I formed a partnership and look what happened. Then, there were different phases. Sometimes, Rizwan gave me confidence and sometimes I gave him. When Iftikhar came, we played a different kind of cricket. He was struggling a bit before getting set. But I asked him to play his natural game.”
Babar Azam warns India:
Taking the matter further, Babar Azam said that he will be fully prepared for the match with India. He said that this victory will boost his confidence.
The captain said, “After two-three fours he became comfortable. After 40 overs, he smashed Nepal’s bowling line-up with a bang. (On bowling performance) I am satisfied. We could not reach the target in some overs. Fast bowlers started well, spinners also did well. This match was a good preparation for the match against India as it gave us confidence. We want to give 100% in every match, and hope to do the same there.”
Significantly, Babar Azam and Iftikhar Ahmed had a brilliant run partnership of 214 runs in 131 balls for the fifth wicket. Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam also had a partnership of 86 runs. With this, Pakistan scored 342 runs for six wickets in 50 overs. In reply, the Nepal cricket team could score only 104 and lost the match by 238 runs.
