The team management has announced the squad for the series against Srilanka as the Lankan team is coming on the tour of India for 3 matches T20 and 3-match ODI series which is scheduled to start on 3 January and will kick off with the T20 series while the ODI series will start from 10th January.
The team management has taken a few big decisions ahead of the series as we have seen that the new selection committee hasn’t been selected and this was the Chetan Sharma committee who selected the squad. They have made a few changes which have given shocked Indian Cricket fans.
Hardik Pandya to lead in the T20 series
The senior players are again rested for the T20 series and that’s why Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and KL Rahul will miss this series while once again Hardik Pandya will lead the young side where Suryakumar Yadav is appointed as his deputy. A few young players have been selected as well.

Rohit Sharma will be back in the ODI series
However, the senior players will be back in the ODI series and we will see Rohit Sharma leading the side in the ODI series as he is making his comeback after he got injured in the ODI series against Bangladesh. Shikhar Dhawan is dropped from the squad whereas Hardik Pandya has been made the vice-captain.
