The reason for dropping Rishabh Pant in the series against Srilanka is out, the cause might surprise you

Srilanka will come on the tour of India in January for a white ball series where they have to play 3 matches ODI and 3 matches T20 series. It will be the first series of the Indian team in the year 2023 and they will be preparing for the ODI World Cup 2023.

BCCI has announced the squad for this series last night and the selection committee has again made a few unorthodox decisions which have shocked everybody, the fans are again confused about this selection.

The team has dropped Shikhar Dhawan from the ODI squad as he had a worse ODI series against Bangladesh while Bhuvi has been dropped from the T20 while Hardik is made the vice-captain ahead of KL Rahul.

BCCI has dropped Rishabh Pant from this series squad as they haven’t selected him which has shocked everyone but he was out of form for such a long time.

However, news has come that he was out of form as well but he has been rested due to injury. He is not that injured but he needs to strengthen his knee and that’s why he will be headed to NCA. He will make his comeback in the series against New Zealand.

Pant had a worse season this time:

He has scored 364 runs with an average of 21 in the 25 matches while he is having 336 runs in 12 ODI matches this year. He has faced a lot of criticism in the past when he was not able to perform regularly despite he was getting backed and getting the regular chance.
