Australia played a do-or-die match against Afghanistan today in which Afghanistan nearly pulled off a miracle at the end but Australia won that close match by just 4 runs at the end.
Australia batted first today and with the brilliance of Mitchell Marsh and Glenn Maxwell, they put 168/8 in their 20 overs and it was a par score on this pitch.
While chasing the target Afghanistan lost a few quick wickets but in the end, Rashid Khan played a knock of 48 runs in 23 balls but his knock was not sufficient at the end.
David Warner tried to play a reverse hit but he just make himself fool:
During the first inning, Australian opener David Warner tried to make himself a right-handed batsman and play a shot but he completely missed that bowl and got bowled out.
This incident is of the 2nd ball of the 6th over when Navin Ul Haque tried to play a switch hit but Naveen pitched the bowl at a good length and he missed that bowl and got out on 25 runs.
Australia still didn’t qualify for the semifinals:
Australia won this match and now they have 7 points and they are sitting at the 2nd position of the table. However, they need that England lose their last match, if they win their last match then they have a better-run rate than Australia and that’s why they will qualify.
