On the third day of the Cape Town Test, there was a lot of heat on the ground. Almost all cricket fans are aware of what happened on the pitch after African captain Dean Elgar’s DRS. Virat Kohli and other team players were furious on the field after Elgar was given the notch, after which now-former Indian team batsman Gautam Gambhir has called him mature because of this action of Captain Kohli and targeted him.
Talking to Star Sports, Gautam Gambhir said, “Kohli is very mature. Saying this on the stumps mic is the worst for any Indian captain. By doing this you will never become a role model for the youth.”
Apart from this former left-handed batsman, former South Africa bowler Shaun Pollock has also given his reaction to this incident. He has said that India wanted to take wickets, due to which their emotions came out. Hawk-Eye is something you depend on to make decisions. It is an independent body. They try their best to make decisions from whatever they get. I can understand the disappointment of the India team as they wanted to take wickets.
