Watch Video: Harmanpreet Kaur answers like a boss after Anchor said ‘you avoiding my question about Mankading?

The Indian women’s cricket team has created history by winning the ODI match played against England yesterday. India defeated England for the first time on their own soil with a clean sweep. After this spectacular victory, Indian player Deepti Sharma’s run out of England’s last batsman at the non-striker’s end remains in the news.

Deepti Sharma gave victory to her team by sending the English batsman to the pavilion through Mankading. The English camp was badly shaken by this Mankading of Deepti Sharma, after which India’s captain Harmanpreet Kaur stopped speaking to everyone while replying after the match.

Captain Harmanpreet supported, said, did nothing wrong

After the loss in the match as well as the series, the England players looked quite disappointed and started calling Deepti Sharma’s dismissal wrong. In such a situation, after the match, when Captain Harmanpreet Kaur was asked about the run out, she at first gave it a tally but when asked again, she said,

“I thought you would ask about the first nine wickets as it was not easy to take them either. I don’t think we have done anything new. I think it shows your awareness of what the batsmen are doing. I will support my player (Deepti Sharma) because I don’t think he has done anything which is not in the ICC rules.”
