After this win, Indian captain Rohit Sharma said that the batsmen have done well. But the bowling can be improved further. Rohit also gave the reason for giving the last over to Mohammed Shami.

After winning the match, Rohit said:

“I think we batted well, we should have added 10-15 more runs at the end. We want a set batsman to last till the end and Suryakumar did it for us. We had good batting on such a good bouncy wicket. We can rely on shots on such wickets. It was a good practice match for us.

Regarding the team’s bowling, Rohit said, ‘There is still room for improvement, I need more consistency from the bowlers. We have to improve in the last over. We have to change the strategy. Overall it was a good match for us. The partnership between them put some pressure on us.
