Ishan Kishan scripted history after smashing a double century in the last ODI match against Bangladesh in the three-match ODI series. He was replacing Rohit Sharma in the playing 11 and played like him.

He played a knock of 210 runs in just 131 balls as he smashed 44 fours and 10 sixes in his innings as well. He become the fasted batsman to score a double hundred in an ODI inning as he completed his fifty in 126 balls.

Ishan Kishan shared what he was feeling

It was a very high-pressure moment for him when he was nearing his double hundred, he also scored his first maiden hundred in that match as well. He was at the crease with Virat Kohli at that moment and even Virat Kohli celebrated his double hundred.

Ishan Kishan said that when he was nearing the double hundred he was asking Virat Kohli to say him regularly to take singles as he was feeling like smashing all the balls and reaching that mark as soon as possible.

Virat Kohli also scored his 72 hundred

Apart from the brilliance of Ishan Kishan Virat Kohli was also the standout performer for the Indian team with the bat as he also scored a brilliant hundred in the match, he made a mammoth partnership of 290 runs with Ishan Kishan as well.

He played a knock of 113 runs in 91 balls which included 11 fours and 2 sixes. He now has 72 hundred to his name as he now surpasses Ricky Ponting’s (71 hundred) records and is only behind Sachin Tendulkar.
