When Michael Vaughan was asked by a fan on Twitter which country would be the winner of the Border-Gavaskar Test series between India and Australia, he gave his answer without any delay.

Responding to the fan’s tweet, former England captain Michael Vaughan said on Twitter, ‘India will win’. Let us tell you that there is strength in this prediction of former England captain Michael Vaughan.  In fact, since 2004, the Australian team has not been able to win a single Test series on Indian soil.

In the last three Test series of the Border Gavaskar Trophy, India has defeated Australia thrice in a row.  Twice Team India has defeated Australia in the Test series at its home.  India defeated the Kangaroos in the Test series played on Australian soil in 2018 – 2019 and 2020 – 2021.  The first match of the Border-Gavaskar series between India and Australia will be played in Nagpur from 9 February.  Wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant will not be a part of this series. Shreyas Iyer and Jasprit Bumrah are out of the first 2 test matches due to injury.
