The Indian cricket team has to play its first match in the T20 World Cup 2022 against arch-rivals Pakistan on 23 October. The playing XI of the Indian team has been decided for this great match to be held at Melbourne Cricket Ground.
India captain Rohit Sharma gave this information during the captains’ press conference held on Saturday (15) October before the start of the tournament.

Rohit said, “I don’t believe in taking decisions at the last minute, we want our players to inform about the team selection in advance, so that they can prepare first. For the match against Pakistan, I have already made my playing. The XI has been selected. Those players have already been informed. I want them to prepare well.”
