The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League was no less than a nightmare for five-time champions Mumbai Indians. For the first time in the history of the tournament, Mumbai was at the bottom of the points table after losing ten matches and winning just four matches. The Rohit Sharma-led team, as usual, had a slow start in the tournament and continued to lose matches.
Seeing Mumbai’s continuous defeat, it seemed that they might have forgotten to win but in the last few matches of the tournament, Rohit’s team made a comeback and won the last matches to bring a smile to the faces of the fans. Mumbai Indian skipper Rohit Sharma failed to perform with the bat this season but he always stood up for the players as a role model.
Even after the tournament is over, Rohit is standing shoulder to shoulder with the players and a sample of this is being seen in a video going viral on social media. In a video posted by the Mumbai Indians franchise, Rohit Sharma can be seen helping the young Ramandeep Singh, who has left the bio bubble of the IPL.
Here’s the Video:
During this, once again showing a big heart, Rohit says, “Take care, friend. Call me if you need anything.” The video of this incident is becoming increasingly viral on social media. On the other hand, if we talk about Ramandeep’s performance in this season, he played four matches for the franchise, where he took four wickets, at economy of 6.25 and contributed 34 runs in the tournament.
