Gujarat Titans opening batsman Shubman Gill was run out for 9 runs in 6 balls with the help of two fours in the match against Punjab Kings on Tuesday (May 3). Shubman looked to be in good form but returned to the pavilion after being run out by a brilliant throw by Rishi Dhawan in the affair of stealing runs on the first ball of the third over of the innings by Sandeep Sharma.
Sandeep bowled a full outside off-stump, which Shubman wanted to steal a single by pushing it towards cover. But showing quickness, Rishi Dhawan came from cover and caught the ball and threw it straight at the non-strike end.
Bowler Sandeep Sharma came in Shubman’s way, although he did not do so intentionally. But Shubman appeared angry about this.
Let us inform that this season Gill has scored 269 runs in 10 matches at an average of 26.90, including two half-centuries and his best score is 96 runs.
