Mumbai was all out at 133 runs chasing the target of 184 runs. Mumbai lost the match by 50 runs.

At the same time, the 69th match was Adam Gilchrist’s last match in the IPL. He had earlier retired from all forms of cricket. However, he joined the Punjab team in the 2011 IPL auction as a captain. Gilchrist came out to bowl in his last IPL match.
