But Azhar Mahmood and Shaun Marsh played well for the third wicket. Both the players got out for 148. However, the team scored 183 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. Mumbai was all out at 133 runs chasing the target of 184 runs. Mumbai lost the match by 50 runs.
At the same time, the 69th match was Adam Gilchrist’s last match in the IPL. He had earlier retired from all forms of cricket. However, he joined the Punjab team in the 2011 IPL auction as a captain. Gilchrist came out to bowl in his last IPL match.
His first wicket was Harbhajan Singh. He started dancing on the ground after dismissing Harbhajan. Harbhajan Singh played a long shot but was caught out. His catch was caught by Gurkeerat Singh.
