Ambati Rayudu deleted the tweet after announcing his retirement from IPL, CSK CEO gave a big statement on it
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batsman Ambati Rayudu on Saturday announced on Twitter that the 2022 season of the Indian Premier League will be his last season in the tournament. However, after a while, Rayudu deleted his tweet.
Rayudu wrote on Twitter, “I am happy to announce that this will be my last IPL. I had a great time playing for two great teams for 13 years. I would like to thank Mumbai Indians and CSK for a wonderful journey.”
Chennai Super Kings CEO Kashi Viswanathan has confirmed that Rayudu is not retiring.
Viswanathan said, “No he (Rayudu) is not retiring. Maybe he is not happy with his performance and that’s why he did it. It is simply a psychological thing. I think he will be with us.”
Rayudu was bought by Chennai Super Kings for Rs 6.75 crore in the mega auction held in February. His bat did not last much this season. Rayudu has scored 271 runs in 12 matches at an average of 27.10, including one half-century.
Chennai’s team has been out of the race for IPL 2022 playoffs. The team also has to play two more matches in the league stage.
Let us inform you that Rayudu has already changed his decision by announcing his retirement. Rayudu had retired after not getting a place in the Indian team for the 2019 World Cup. However, after some time he changed his decision.
