IND vs SA: Mohammed Shami and Deepak Hooda out of T20 series against South Africa, this player back to team for replacement!

Mohammed Shami’s return to India’s T20 International team is almost certain to be delayed further. Shami was ruled out of the recently held T20 series against Australia due to Kovid-19. She has not fully recovered, so she is finding it difficult to play in the T20 series against South Africa starting on Wednesday (28 September).

Apart from this, Deepak Hooda can also be out of this series due to a back injury. According to the news of Cricbuzz, Shami and Hooda have not reached Thiruvananthapuram with the Indian team, where the first match of the T20 series against South Africa is to be played.

Umesh Yadav, who was included in the team in place of Shami, has reached Thiruvananthapuram with the Indian team. Which means that he will also be a part of the team in the series against South Africa. On the other hand, Shreyas Iyer, who was included as a stand-by player, may get a chance in place of Hooda. Let us inform that before the third and deciding T20 against Australia on Sunday (25 September), the Board of Control for Cricket in India had informed about Hooda’s back injury.

The last match of the T20 series between India and South Africa is to be played in Indore on October 4. After this, the Indian team will leave for Australia for the T20 World Cup 2022 on 6 October.
