BCCI has made it clear that the Indian cricket team will not travel to Pakistan for the 2023 Asia Cup. Ever since BCCI secretary Jay Shah made this statement, there has been an earthquake in Pakistan. Regarding the Asia Cup 2023, Jay Shah said that this tournament will be played at a neutral venue but rebellious voices are seen from Pakistan’s side and Ramiz Raja.
Jay Shah told the media on Wednesday (October 18) after the AGM, “Asia Cup 2023 will be held at a neutral venue. I am saying this as ACC president. We [India] cannot go there, they are here.” Can’t come. Even in the past, the Asia Cup was played at a neutral venue.”
Ramiz Raja old Video goes viral
Jay Shah’s statement is not being liked at all in Pakistan and according to PTI, the Pakistan Cricket Board has reportedly threatened to skip the 2023 World Cup in response to India’s decision not to travel to Pakistan. However, no official statement has come from the PCB in this matter. Amidst this threat from PCB, an old video of their board president Ramiz Raja is becoming increasingly viral on social media.
Ramiz Raja had said during an event last year that India is running the PCB financially and Pakistan will collapse if India stops funding. In this viral video Ramiz Raja says, “ICC is a political body divided between Asian and Western bloc and 90 percent of its revenue comes from India. If tomorrow the Indian PM decides that he will not allow any funding to Pakistan, then our cricket board may collapse.
