The Indian team will play a three T20 match series on the tour of Ireland under the new captaincy of Jasprit Bumrah. Young players who have done well in IPL and domestic cricket have got a chance in Team India for the Ireland tour. Jitesh Sharma and Sanju Samson have got a place as wicketkeepers in Team India on Ireland tour. Now it’ll be a matter to see whom Captain Jasprit Bumrah gives a chance in playing XI.
1. Sanju Samson:
Whenever Sanju Samson got a chance in Team India. He has not been able to redeem it. In the T20 series against the West Indies, he failed miserably to score runs. He scored only 32 runs in five matches. He made his debut for Team India in the year 2015, but due to poor performance, he could not confirm his place in Team India. Sanju has so far scored 333 runs in 22 T20 matches for Team India, which includes a half-century.
2. Jitesh Sharma:
Jitesh Sharma showed a bang for Punjab Kings in IPL 2022 and 2023 and scored a lot of runs. He scored 309 runs in 14 matches of IPL 2023 and won numerous matches for the team. Jitesh’s wicketkeeping skills are also amazing. He has scored 632 runs in 17 First Class matches and 1350 runs in 47 List-A matches.
Seeing Jitesh’s good performance, he got a chance in the series against Sri Lanka, but he couldn’t make it to the playing XI. Now looking at Sanju’s poor performance, he can debut for Team India on the Ireland tour and take over the responsibility of wicketkeeper.
