BCCI introduce new impact player rule in IPL, Know what’s the rule How it work & when it will be used?

The auction is all set to take place on 23 December and this time it will happen in Kochi in which 911 players have registered their names for the auction out of which few will get their chance to get a feature in the auction as this time its mini-auction.

The preparation for the Indian Premier League has been started as the auction date is nearing and everyone is planning to buy and regroup their group for the upcoming season as they all will eye the title.

BCCI has made an important change for the upcoming season.

BCCI has announced a major change that a team will be able to introduce a substitute player by replacing any player from the playing 11 till the halftime of the match and this new rule will be interesting to see.

This has been already implemented in many domestic leagues and this was used in the recently concluded Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy as well. The team will have to introduce 4 substitute players to the playing 11 as well.

Know, how the rule will work:

A team will be able to announce the substitute player till the 14th over of the inning and there will be no other restriction on the rule as well. A player can be replaced with any player from the playing 11 and it doesn’t matter whether he has batted or bowled in that inning.
