The International Cricket Council (ICC) posted a picture on Saturday of the most iconic ‘Ball of the Century’ of 1993 by Australian cricket legend Shane Warne.
The legendary leg-spinner achieved this success during the first Test of the Ashes series against England in Manchester. This miracle ball from the 23-year-old Warne left all the cricket fans in awe.
The ball hit wide leg but turned so much that it hit the off-stump of England batsman Mike Gatting. The batsman stood at the crease surprised and upset and it took him a few minutes to understand what had happened to him.
The ICC posted some pictures of the priceless moment on Twitter and wrote, “On this day in 1993, the world saw Shane Warne’s ‘Ball of the Century’.”
